How Are They Different from Regular Optometrists?

When you visit a regular optometrist, you are likely going in to be checked for eye diseases, eye injuries or refractive errors. While this is important, a behavioral optometrist is more concerned with different types of eye conditions and disorders that have more to do with how you use your eyes.

What Can Indicate the Need for a Behavioral Optometrist?

There are certain symptoms that you or your child might show that indicates your or their need for vision therapy. This includes having unsure reading skills, not being able to copy things from the board, using a finger to keep place while reading, losing that place often, skipping lines or adding them when reading, and not writing in a straight line.
